
BOSTON – Ram of the Week's 21st edition for 2021-22 came following the conclusion of the regular-season for four Suffolk Athletics' winter teams. The competition featured four student-athletes from four different programs and Ram Nation made its voice heard with 71 votes cast on the Twitter Poll.
AND THE WINNER IS ….
Cal Wilcox of the Suffolk men's hockey team garnered 62 percent of the 71 total votes to best the other candidates.

The junior netminder turned aside an impressive 99 out of 105 shots on goal in two games, helping the Rams to a 1-1 weekend. Despite a 5-3 loss at Endioctt, he opened the weekend with a record 65-save outing, which marks the most stops by blue-and-gold glove in the Rams' game-by-game record book that date through the 1999-2000 season. A day later he wrapped up a 34-save effort in a bounce-back 3-1 win over Wentworth.
The 99 save weekend boosted Wilcox's season numbers. Through 22 games played, the junior holds a .906 save percentage with a 7-10-4 record. record.
Wilcox's honors mark the third by the men's hockey program this season, with John Garrity and Samuel Rand claiming the title in previous weeks.
RAMS RUNNER-UPS
2ND – 28.2% - SHANA COTE – WOMEN'S HOCKEY
Through three games, Shana Cote continued to give the Rams a boost on offense, providing seven points on five goals and two assists to help the Rams to a 2-1-0 week to lock up second place in the Commonwealth Coast Conference post season.
3RD – 8.5% - GABRIELLA DECOMO – WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Gabriella DeComo averaged 11.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 assist per game to help guide the Suffolk women's basketball team to a 2-1 week, with wins coming over Nichols and Endicott to lock up fourth place, and a home playoff game, in the CCC playoffs.
4TH – 1.4% - KEENAN ROBERTSON – MEN'S BASKETBALL
Over a 2-1 week for the Rams, Keenan Robertson, a freshman, added 15 points and 7.3 rebounds per game to help Suffolk men's basketball to a fourth-place finish in the CCC regular-season. Most notably, Robertson tacked on 19 points in an 89-83 road win over first-place Nichols.
