BOSTON – Thanksgiving break didn't stop Ram Nation from voting viaTwitter poll for the Ram of the Week for Suffolk Athletics in Week 13, as three teams competed, leaving three student-athletes to be nominated for the honor.
AND THE WINNER IS …
For the first time this season, a member of the Suffolk men's hockey team comes away with the title of Ram of the Week, with Samuel Rand garnering 57.5 percent of the poll's 40 votes to pull away from the competition.

The team was unable to come away with the victory in its lone matchup of the week, falling to UMass Dartmouth 5-4 in a back-and-forth affair. Despite the setback, Rand, a sophomore defenseman from Marstons Mills, Massachusetts, notched a career-best two-point effort, tacking on his first collegiate goal and one assist to the Suffolk side of the scoresheet in the defeat on Sunday, Nov. 28.
