
BOSTON – With winter season in full swing, Ram Nation had its work cut out to decide who had the biggest standout showing of the week to take home Ram of the Week via a Twitter Poll for Jan. 9-16.
AND THE WINNER IS …
For the second time this season, Shana Cote of the Suffolk women's hockey team picked up the recognition. The senior forward collected 66 percent of the 27 votes cast after a three-goal, one-assist performance in a 2-1-0 week to earn the honor for the second time this season.

After the Rams were shutout by Trinity Jan. 11, Cote helped Suffolk sweep a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) home-and-home series against Western New England. On Jan. 14 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, the Broomfield, Colorado product dished out one assist in the 4-0 victory. A day later in Eastie, Cote scored a hat trick, the first of her collegiate career, to aid in the 5-0 triumph over the Golden Bears.

2ND – 19 % - NATE HALE – MEN'S BASKETBALL
Nate Hale averaged 21.0 points per game on a 55.6 conversation rate from the floor and 66.7 percent showing from 3-point land to go along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per outing. In a 93-61 win at Curry, he poured in 15.0 points with three caroms and two dimes to his credit. In the thrilling 86-82 comeback win over Endicott, the graduate student supplied 27 points on a 9-for-14 showing from the field, which included a 5-for-6 effort from downtown. He added four rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block.
3RD – 15% - AMANDA DEANGELIS – WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Amanda DeAngelis averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in a 1-1 week. She led the way in an 80-58 win at Curry with her second straight double-double with a 24-point, 10-rebound effort. Against Endicott, she chipped in seven points and three caroms in the 64-60 setback.
