Throughout his career, Coach Nelson has received numerous awards from Suffolk University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).  In 2006, he was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame, and in 2019 he was named a New England Basketball Hall of Fame Legend.  

Anyone who has had the pleasure of spending time with "Coach" knows that he is a Suffolk legend who is passionate about Suffolk Athletics and is devoted to the many generations of student-athletes he has coached, influenced, and cheered to victory.  Thank you for your membership in the Coach Nelson Club.
