BOSTON – With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Suffolk women's tennis team sets its sights on Anna Maria as the AMCATS stop by Buckingham, Browne & Nichols Tuesday for a 6 p.m. match.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's tennis team got back in the win column Tuesday night as the Rams blanked Anna Maria, 9-0, at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols. 

The clean sheet is Suffolk's first of the year as it improves to 6-4 overall and 2-1 against GNAC competition.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
After opening GNAC play with a 7-2 defeated of the University of Saint Joseph's on the road, the Rams fell to Simmons, 6-3, before sweeping Anna Maria to sit 2-1 in the league and 6-4 overall. 

Valentina Medina has been radiant for the Rams in singles action as she sports an unbeaten 10-0 record at the first (2-0) and second spots (8-0). Aidiana Sagyndyokva has traded time at No. 1 and No. 2 with Medina. The junior owns a 9-1 overall singles mark. 

Medina has been the manic opponent to multiple Suffolk doubles point victories as the sophomore has teamed up with Sagyndykova and Abby Trigilio for the Rams best showings in doubles play. When partnering with Sagyndyova, the duo is 3-0 exclusively on the first court. Trigilio has paired with Medina solely in the second slot with a 6-1 record. 

WILDCATS WAYS
Johnson & Wales had its five-match win-streak Wednesday night by conference leader Simmons, 7-2, to move to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference. 

Morgan Thompson has played exclusively at No. 1, with Emily Glass (No. 2) and Taylor Klein closing out the Wildcats' top-three singles players. JWU's top three singles players all boast 9-1 marks.

On the doubles court, Victoria Pizzulo and Thompson pair up for Johnson & Wales top duo and sit at 6-3. 

ECAC'S BEST OF SEPTEMBER
For her tremendous collegiate start, Valentina Medina added another award to her resume as she was tabbed Corvias ECAC Women's Tennis Division III Co-Rookie of the Month the conference announced Monday afternoon.

ROOKIE RECOGNITION
Valentine Medina was named GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week, marking the third time this season she has earned the award and second time in as many weeks.

Medina became the first Suffolk player to be named the best rookie over of a seven-day stretch twice by the conference September 21 and adds to her decorated rookie season with the third nod of the year.
