RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk dropped back-to-back contests, first a 6-3 defeat to Simmons, before dropping a 7-2 decision at Springfield, to dip to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in GNAC action.

Valentina Medina is the lone unbeaten Suffolk player on either court. The sophomore boasts a 9-0 mark, having taken down all, but one of her opponents in straight sets.

Medina has teamed up with Aidiana Sagyndykova as the Rams top tandem, three times, and the sophomore and junior are beaten (3-0). Sagyndykova has also excelled in singles play as she sits at 8-1 overall. With her second doubles partner, Abby Trigilio, Medina is 5-1 in the second slot.

A LITTLE BIT 'BOUT THE AMCATS
Anna Maria, who sits at 2-6 overall, has dropped in three GNAC matches versus Simmons (9-0), at Mount Ida (6-3) and most recently an 8-1 setback against Johnson & Wales to sit 0-3 against conference opponents.

A number of AMCATS have seen action on the first singles court with Morgan Rodriquez and Nicola Zamira competing as Anna Maria's ace in conference action. Anna Maria has used a number of combinations in doubles play.

ROOKIE RECOGNITION
Valentine Medina was named GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week, marking the third time this season she has earned the award and second time in as many weeks.

Medina became the first Suffolk player to be named the best rookie over of a seven-day stretch twice by the conference September 21 and adds to her decorated rookie season with the third nod of the year.
