LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's soccer and Nichols traded goals less than two minutes apart in the second half and neither managed to find the back of the net again for the CCC opener of both squads to end in a 1-1 stalemate Friday afternoon at Nichols Soccer Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After opening the year with three victories in a row, Suffolk sits 3-2-2 overall and is looking to return to the win column for the first time since Sept. 5 when it bested Mass. Maritime, 7-0. 

The Rams 14-goal offense has been powered by underclassmen in Carter Van Buskirk (3g, 1a), Miguel Varela (1g, 3a) and TJ Maselek (2g), as well as junior Andrew Awada (2g). 

Xander Balog has played every minute in net for the blue-and-gold. He brings in a 1.14 GAA and .758 save percentage.

LOOK AT THE LASERS
Lasell heads into the midweek match 1-2-3. The Lasers have played to draws in their last two outings at Albertus Magnus (1-1) and Dean (3-3). 

Daniel Faynstein is the main ingredient to Lasell's 11-goal offense. The sophomore has had his boot in nine of those goals, scoring eight himself and assisting on another. Jaydon Perez has scored twice and Elisio Nascimento rounds out the goal scorers with one to his credit to go along with one helper.

Antonio Centracchio and Cameron McDonough have split the bulk of the time in net for the Lasers, each playing and starting three contests apiece. McDonough brings in a 1.67 GAA and .808 save percentage, while Centracchio has built a 3.20 GAA and .636 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Lasell have met every season since 2002. In that span, the Rams are 5-8-4 against the Lasers.
  • The Rams won the last meeting, 3-0, Sept. 5, 2021.
