BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer takes to the road Wednesday, Sept. 20 as it make the trip to Providence, Rhode Island, to battle with the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales. Game time at Scotts Miracle-Gro Atheltics Complex is scheduled for 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's soccer team blanked Mt. Ida, 3-0, at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday afternoon.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has traded wins and losses this season to sit at 3-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 against conference competition. 

Christian Restrepo, who had a four-game point streak, leads Suffolk's attack. The sophomore forward's 11 points are thanks to five goals and one handout. Classmate James Fisher is second on the squad with three goals and one assist for seven points, while fellow sophomore Felipe Ucros rounds out the Rams' top three with five points on two tallies and one dish. 

Kyle Van Cleef has seen the most action in net for the Rams. The junior brings in a 2.17 goals-against average and a .742 save percentage in four starts and over 330 minutes of action. Jon Brodeur, meanwhile, has not let a rock post him. The sophomore has turned aside all seven shots he has faced for a 0.00 goals against average and perfect save percentage for a 1-0-0 record.

WILDCAT WAYS
Johnson & Wales rides a two-game win streak into the midweek matchup as the Wildcats defeated Endicott and Plymouth State by identical 2-1 scores, needing one overtime to take down the Panthers though, to improve to 4-1-0 on the season. In its lone conference contest of the season, JWU fell to St. Joseph's (Maine), 1-0. 

Yohann Assouramou and Teagan Drake pace the Wildcats' offense as the juniors each own six points.  Drake has found the back of the net three times, while Assouramou's stat line features two goals and two assists. Jazario  Brimmer and Jozef Jennings complete JWU's goal scorers with one strike apiece. 

Nicholas Mancini has played nearly every minute in net for the wildcats. The senior netminder owns the second-highest goals-against average in the conference at 0.60, while his .870 save percentage also sits second best.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk and Johnson & Wales will meet for the 21st time Wednesday night since 1999. Overall, the Rams trail the series with the Wildcats, 8-11-1.
• JWU has taken the last three contests, two in shutout decisions.
• Seven outings have been shutouts with the Rams trailing such contests, 2-5.
• Suffolk and JWU have tangled in overtime once in the all-time meetings in 2005. Neither team came out on top with the contest ending in a 1-1 tie after two OTs.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second straight week, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Corvias Men's Soccer Player of the Week hails from Suffolk University as sophomore James Fisher earned the distinction after the Rams' shutout Mt. Ida, 3-0, Saturday.
