BOSTON – Coming off its first Conference of New England victory of the season, a 3-2 thriller over Western New England, Suffolk volleyball rides that momentum to Newton, Massachusetts, Saturday, Oct. 12 for a tri-match at Lasell featuring Pratt. The Rams open the day at 1:00 p.m. versus the Cannoneers before battling the Lasers at 3:00 p.m.

Suffolk volleyball entered the Conference of New England (CNE) win column in thrilling fashion as the Rams bested Western New England in five sets Wednesday night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The conference victory came by set scores 25-22, 25-10, 16-25, 22-25 and 15-10.
In the triumph, McKenna Keowen became the fifth member of Suffolk's 1,000 dig club, second of the second behind Morgan Kelsey, who achieved the feat Wednesday, Sept. 25 versus Hartford. They are the first teammates to hit the milestone achievement in the same season in program history.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk held of WNE in five sets Wednesday to move to 16-4 on the season.
McKenna Keowen is an all-around force for the Rams. The senior tops the team in kills per set (3.29) and aces per set (0.69) and is second on the second with 3.59 digs per set. Sami Shore is also a two-way player with 2.32 kps, good for second on the squad, and 0.77 blocks per set, which leads the blue-and-gold at the net. Jayla Martinez is the primary setter for Suffolk with 6.12 assists per set. Aislinn Lanigan logs 3.65 assists per set. Morgan Kelsey is the backbone of the defense with 4.52 digs per set.

CANNONEERS CATCH-UP
Pratt defeated Lehman, 3-1, to move to 5-9 on the year. Prior to taking on Suffolk Saturday, the cannoneers will clash with Lasell at 11:00 a.m.
Olivia Julich and Colleen Russell are the offensive leaders for the Cannoneers with 2.67 kps and 2.24 kps, respectively. Emily Sontag sets up the attack with 4.60 assists per set. Josie Johnson is a threat at the service line with 0.83 aces per set.
Defensively, Emma Leavey leads the way with 3.24 dps. Julich (2.89 dps), Johnson (2.50 dps) and Anabela Jakelic (0.76 bps) are in the defensive conversation as well.

Lasell (15-3) rides a nine-match win streak into Saturday.
Eliana Baran (2.98 kps) and McKenna McCool (2.85 kps) both average over 2.50 kps to pace the Lasers attack that is set up by Sydney Katz (5.29 assists per set) and Trinty Silva (3.96 assists per set). Katz also chips in 0.60 aces per set to the offensive output that receives 0.64 aces per set from Andrea Aceituno.
Madeline Caro is the main defensive force with 3.35 dps. Juliana Medini adds 1.43 bps.
