BOSTON – Looking to extend its two-game win streak, the Suffolk women's soccer team makes the trip to West Haven, Connecticut Saturday, Oct. 7 for a GNAC contest at Saint Joseph (Conn.). First kick at USJ Soccer Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Senior co-captains Jennifer Martin and Alexandra Nagri had a hand in every single Suffolk goal to lead the Rams in a 5-3 victory against Norwich Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk's two-game win streak came thanks to the Rams' first-ever win over Lasell (2-0) and a 5-3 victory over Norwich to improve to 4-4 overall and 3-3 versus conference competition. 

Jennifer Martin and Alexandra Nagri led the Rams as the senior co-captains combine for 23 of Suffolk's 35 points. Martin had four goals and four assists on her stat line, while Nagri has found the back of the net a team-high five times and handed out one assist. 

In net, Julia Fieldsend has been Suffolk's go-to-goalie as of late. The sophomore is 3-2 on the year in four starts and six appearances with a 1.90 goals against average and a .825 save percentage.

BLUEJAYS BREAKDOWN
Saint Joseph's is coming off a 2-1 win at Rivier that pushed the Bluejays' record to 7-3-1 on the year and 5-2 in league play. 

Jessica Spezzano's team-leading 25 points are off eight goals and nine dimes. Amanda Ghent is second on the squad with 23 points with a team-best 10 goals and three assists. 

Megan Ricci has started all of USJ's 11 games in between the pipes. The sophomore carries a 1.05 goals against average and a .828 save percentage into Saturday's showdown.

WEEKLY RECOGNITION
After one of the most successful weeks in Suffolk women's soccer history, Julia Fieldsend and Alexandra Nagri grabbed GNAC Corvias weekly honors. Fieldsend took home goalie of the week, while Nagri pick up player of the week recognition.

Suffolk women's soccer has been recognized for its efforts inside the classroom for the ninth consecutive season as the 2016-17 Rams earned the United State Coaches (USC), formerly the National Soccer Collegiate Coaches Association (NSCAA), Team Academic Award distinction.
