BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer looks to carry momentum off its historic victory over Lasell into the weekend when the Rams entertain Norwich at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park. The Rams and Cadets tangle at 1 p.m., prior to Suffolk men's soccer first kick against Saint Joseph's (Maine) at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's soccer did what no GNAC counterpart has been able to do in five years, defeat Lasell, as the Rams blanked the Lasers, 2-0, Wednesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk snapped a two-game skid in record-breaking fashion as the Rams became the first GNAC team to defeat seven-time conference champion Lasell. The 2-0 victory, which marked the blue and gold's first over the Lasers, pushed Suffolk's record to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in league play. 

Wednesday's triumph featured the Rams' third multiple goal performance of 2017. Overall, Suffolk has netted eight goals paced by a pair from Jennifer Martin, Caleigh O'Brien and Alexandra Nagri. Martin and O'Brien sit atop the team in points with five apiece thanks to their two strikes and one handout apiece. 

Julia Fieldsend has been Suffolk's go-to-goalie as of late. The sophomore became the first netminder to shutout the Lasers since Oct. 15, 2012, for her first collegiate cleansheet. Overall, Fieldsend sits at 2-2-0 on the year with a 1.64 goals against average and a .851 save percentage. Kirsten Weiker has also seen significant time in between the posts. The junior brings in a 3.29 goals average and a .710 save percentage to Saturday's showdown. 

CADETS CATCH UP
Norwich has only found the win column once this season, a 2-1 win versus Rivier Sept. 9. The 1-7 overall Cadets, who are 1-5 against league foes, ride a five-match skid. In its last outing, Norwich took Mount Ida to double overtime, but fell, 1-0. 

The Cadets have scored just four times through eight games with Ashley Carvalho responsible for two tallies. Mehgan McMullen and Sydney Rocheville each have contributed one goal apiece to Norwich's offense. Zorya Webster rounds out the Cadets with points with the lone assist. 

Katie Bishop-Manning and Leandra Flores-Nieves have each taken the pitch as keeper for Norwich. Bishop-Manning has seen the most action for a 2.44 goals against average and a.735 save percentage, while Flores-Nieves owns a 3.50 goals against average and a .722 save percentage.
