BOSTON – Suffolk women's lacrosse continues its road trip Sunday, March 9 when it makes its way to Vacation Land to take on Maine Maritime at 12:00 p.m.

Suffolk women's lacrosse suffered its first loss in program history to Beantown rival UMass Boston, 14-9, Thursday afternoon at Alumni Field on the Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst. The game entered the fourth quarter locked at 8-all before the Beacons' offensive erupted in the final frame en route to the Rams' setback.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk looks to bounce back from its first-ever setback, a 14-9 loss at UMass Boston Thursday, that moved the team to 2-1 on the year.
Ally Colburn (10g, 7a), Julia Dickinson (8g, 8a) and Lauren Woods (8g, 2a) power the Rams' 40-goal offense as the trio has all amassed double-digit points through the first three games. Woods leads the ground ball (16), draw control (18) and caused turnover (13) stat categories as well. Kate Carlson has won double figures draw controls as well with 11 to her credit.
Charlotte Guziejka has played every minute in net. The goalie sports a 7.71 GAA and 55.8 save percentage.
MARINERS MENTIONABLES
Maine Maritime rides a a two-game win streak into Sunday's showdown that moved it to 2-1 on the season. The victories came over Mt. St. Mary, 17-8, and at Gordon, 16-3.
Similar to Suffolk, MAA has a threesome that anchors its 41-goal scoring unit in Hazel Stoddard (11g, 5a), Lillian Diversi (10g, 5a) and Julia Wade (9g, 2a). Stoddard and Wade share the top spot on the squad in draw controls with 11 apiece. Wade's half dozen (6) caused turnovers are also a squad-best, while Stoddard's nine ground balls are second in the ranks behind Ella Bowes' 10.
Bowes and Sophie Sabet have both seen time in net for the Mariners. Bowes has started all three games and holds a 7.70 GAA and .463 save percentage. Sabet, meanwhile, sports a 7.06 GAA.

The Rams remain in Maine Tuesday, March 11 for a tilt with Maine Farmington. The game will be played on the campus of Thomas College at Smith in Waterville, Maine at 1:00 p.m.
