Women’s Golf Travels to New York for CORTACA Northeast Invitational


BOSTON – The Suffolk women's golf team heads out on its first trip to the Empire State for the CORTACA Northeast Invitational. The two-day invite will be held at the Cortland Country Club September 28-29.

LAST TIME OUT

Anchored by Nicole Antonucci's top finish, the Suffolk women's golf team opened the 2019 campaign with a second-place showing at the Husson Invitational over the weekend at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

THE COURSE
Cortland Country Club is among picturesque hills of Central New York. 

The par-72 course is a favorite for tournaments. Overall, there are three different markers for women – Blue (76.7 slope), White (74.7 slope) and Red (72.0 slope).

THE COMPETITION
Six teams will join Suffolk over the weekend. In addition to the Rams and the hosts Ithaca, and Cortland, a handful of New York schools will round out the foursomes in Drew, Utica, St. John Fisher, and Nazareth all lining up at the tee-box. 

WHAT'S NEXT?
Next weekend, Suffolk gets set for its first two-day conference championship, traveling back to New York where it will compete at the NWGC Championships at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, New York.
