BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team will take the courts at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols for the last time of the 2016 regular season Wednesday night as it hosts UMass Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Suffolk dropped a 5-4 decision to Bridgewater State in the Rams' first road match of the 2016 campaign Monday afternoon.

The Rams (2-4) opened up the contest with an 8-4 win in doubles as the pair of Francesco Saia and Alonso Vela took down the Bears' Matt McGee and Michael Delisle, earning their third victory of the year.

The Rams and Bears split the six sets in singles play with each team notching three wins. Vela, Chris Parnagian and Rami Esrawi all recorded victories for Suffolk in their respective sets marking the third wins of the season for Vela and Parnagain and the first of the year for Esrawi.

CATCHING UP WITH THE CORSAIRS

UMass Dartmouth enters its Tuesday afternoon contest against Holy Cross with a 1-6 record on the 2015-16 season. In the team's previous match last Saturday, the Corsairs came out on top of a 5-4 battle with Salem State. In the win, Ian Patriarca and Corey Rafter notched the lone doubles win for UMass Dartmouth while Dan Chouinard, Anthony Joseph, Jake Jaskolka and Tony Xie all recorded victories in singles play. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Following Wednesday's match, the Rams will head back on the road to take on Salem State Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
