A goal just under two minutes into the contest proved to be the different for Roger Williams to end Suffolk men's win streak and take down the Rams in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action, 1-0, Saturday after at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (6-3-2) saw its four-game unbeaten streak come to an end Saturday via a 1-0 loss to Roger Williams.
The Rams have outscored their opponents 19-9 on the season with five shutouts, all behind the gloves of Xander Balog. The sophomore goaltender boasts a 0.82 GAA and .813 save percentage. Balog has not missed a minute in net, starting and playing all 11 games in net for the blue-and-gold.
Carter Van Buskirk has been responsible for eight of Suffolk's 52 points on the season. The freshman has a team-best three goals and two assists to his credit. Taj Jensen's six-point stat line is evenly divided between goals (2) and assists (2). Brady Sorensen (2g, 1a) and Miguel Varela (1g, 3a) are consistent contributors on the attack as well.
BEAVERS BREAKDOWN
Babson is unbeaten in its last three outings, a 3-1 win over Emerson, a 0-0 tie at Tufts and a 2-0 shutout over Clark, to head into Tuesday's tangle, 6-2-2, on the year.
The Beavers have found the back of the net 23 times this season. Ben Williams is a main factor into one of the top offenses in New England with six goals and one helper for a team-best 13 points. Shmar Rainford and Louis Gazo share second on the squad in points with seven apiece. Rainford has three goals and one assist, while Gazo has recorded a pair of strikes and a trio of handouts.
Walker White is the go-to goalie for Babson. In 10 games played, all starts, he has assembled a 1.00 GAA and .744 save percentage.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk is 0-1-1 all-time against Babson
- The Rams and Beavers renewed a rivalry a year ago, meeting for the first time since the ECAC Quarterfinals, Nov. 18, 2006, which ended in a 4-1 decision in favor of Babson.
- A year ago, the blue-and-gold took the then-No. 21 Beavers to a double overtime, scoreless draw.
- Every battle in the series has taken place in Babson Park, Massachusetts.

Suffolk returns to the friendly confines of James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Oct. 8 for a showdown with the University of New England. Prior to the 12 p.m. game, the Rams will honor the careers of their graduating players: Trevor Murdock, Elias Parreira, Dai Podziewski and Kyle Rosa.
