Men's Golf Set for Wildcat Invitational this Weekend


BOSTON – The Suffolk men's golf team will compete for the second time this spring season as the Rams travel to the Cranston Country Club this weekend for the Wildcats Invitational hosted by Johnson & Wales. The two-day event will tee-off Saturday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
In its first competition of the spring season, the Suffolk men's golf team placed eighth in a 14-team field at the RIC Invitational, hosted at the Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island.

THE COURSE
Cranston Country Club is a 6,915-yard course that the Rams have taken on each of the last four seasons. As a host to the Cleveland Golf Tour and numerous other R.I.G.A. Tournaments, the course is full of meticulous green fairways banked by majestic oaks. The 18-hole course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish, who has created over 200 courses in the New England area.  

THE COMPETITION
The Wildcat Invitational is the middle event in the three-invitational spring series. The annual event, in it  seventh season, includes Suffolk's spring opener, the RIC Invitational, and the final event of the Rams 2019 slate, the Hampton Inn Invitational. 

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk concludes its spring schedule next weekend as the annual spring series concludes in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts at the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth.
