BOSTON – The Suffolk golf team will prepare for the championship season with its final regular tournament of the fall as the Rams are set to compete at the Saint's Invitational Wednesday, Oct. 7. Tee-time at The George Wright Golf Course at Hyde Park is scheduled for 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
In its first two-day competition of 2015, the Suffolk golf team placed 16th overall at the Blazer Fall Invitational, hosted at the Elmcrest Country Club Sunday afternoon. 

The Rams carded a team score of 340 over the final 18 holds, paired with 344 in the first round, to finish with a combined 684 for 16th-place in the 21 team event hosted by Elms College. Matt Rosenberg, Mark Fusco, Patrick Hambleton, Stephen Ferrante and Marcos Baistrocchi competed for Suffolk, with Rosenberg leading the pack.

THE COURSE
George Wright Golf Course is a Donald Ross designed, public golf course in Hyde Park, Massachusetts that was opened in 1938 after receiving President Roosevelt's Workers Progress Administration (WPA) funding to complete the construction. 

In recent years, George Wright has again gained notoriety by being chosen as Golf Digest's Best Municipal Course in Massachusetts and the 14th Best Municipal Golf Course in The U.S. by Golfweek in 2009. 

THE COMPETITION
Five teams will tee-off Wednesday afternoon including GNAC member and host Emmanuel. Mitchell and Daniel Webster will also take the course alongside the Rams. 

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk will compete in its first of three championship tournaments, the ECAC Championships, over Columbus Day Weekend at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Massachusetts.
