Golf Takes Third at Saints’ Invitational

HYDE PARK, Mass. – Marcos Baistrocchi carded an 88 to lead the Suffolk golf team to a team score of 362 to take third-place at the Emmanuel Invitational quad-match at the George Wright Golf Course Wednesday afternoon. 

The Rams were 10 strokes behind the invitational's host and winner, Emmanuel who put together a team score of 352. Mitchell took second with 358 with Suffolk finishing third at 362. Daniel Webster's 364 score rounded out the teams who took to the par 70 course. 

Baistrocchi put together an impressive round with an 88 from the No. 3 spot, while junior Patrick Hambleton was one stroke behind the sophomore with an 89. 

Freshman Daniel Caissie followed a 50 front side performance with a 41 back to total 91 and junior Nick Cammarano turned in 47's in each round for a complete 94 game. Joseph Mutter rounded out golfers in Suffolk blue-and-golf as the rookie carded a 97. 

Suffolk returns tot he links this weekend at the ECAC Championship at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Massachusetts.
