LAST TIME OUT
In back-and-forth action, Suffolk baseball came out on the wrong side of a 7-6 decision as Roger Williams broke a 6-all tie in the bottom of the seventh behind a double from Ethan Keeney to walk off with the second game of a Conference of New England (CNE) doubleheader, 7-6, Saturday at Paolino Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk went 2-1 last week to inch closer to a .500 record as it sits 6-10 on the season.

The Rams have scored 72 runs this season including 20 in the last three games. A half dozen players have supplied double-digit hits in Chris Cimino (16), Max Iorio (11), Sam Armbruster (13), Max Martin (13) Cole Hilliard (14), and Alex Sorenti-Burns (14). Armbruster and Max Martin have brought in double figure runs with 11 RBI and 10 RBI, respectively. Run wise, Sorenti-Burns has scored a team-high 13 and Iorio has crossed home 10 times.

Suffolk's pitching staff should be well rested from the weekend and with a limited game-schedule over the week the blue-and-gold could use most of its starters in Pierce Salbego (23.2 IP, 3.80 ERA, 21 K), Harry Meehan (22.0 IP, 4.50 ERA, 14 K), Nick Arnett (16.0 IP, 4.50 ERA, 16 K) and TJ Dimitriou (14.1 IP, 6.91 ERA, 13 K). Jack Raimo (9.0 IP, 2 saves, 3.00 ERA), John McDevitt (8.1 IP, 9K) and Nolan Drew (6.1 IP, 8 K) could be called out of the pen.

BEAVERS BREAKDOWN
Babson, who enters the week 20th in the latest D3baseball.com poll, fell to Amherst, 11-8, Thursday to move to 7-3 on the season. The Beavers open their mid-week stretch with MIT Tuesday.

Three batters have surpassed the double-digit hit mark to be the main ingredients to the Beavers' offense in Gabe Cushner (12 H, 4 R, 2 RBI), Ryan Liss (11 H, 7 R, 8 RBI) and Justin Guest (11 H, 8 R, 6 RBI). Jack Julian has scored a team-high 10 runs.

On the hill, Babson has cycled through five starts with three with multiple nods in Tristen Spalter (16.0 IP, 2.81 ERA, 11 Ks), James Clark (12.0 IP, 4.50 ERA, 10 K) and Jason Finkelstein (11.1 IP, 5.56 ERA, 6 K).

CORSAIRS CATCH-UP
UMass Dartmouth enters the week 9-6 overall and has been off from action since its twinbill with Western Connecticut State Saturday, which the Corsairs swept by scores 7-1 and 10-2.

Matt Tempone has brought in a team-bests 23 runs behind 16 hits and scored six runs himself. Brett Baker has added 14 RBI on 14 hits and 12 runs scored. Devyn Vezina (11 H, 9 RBI, 16 R), Liam Blesi (10 H, 9 RBI, 7 R), Scott Cromack (10 H, 8 RBI, 9 R), Jake San Antonio (10 H, 8 RBI, 9 R), and Joe Muzio (16 H, 7 RBI, 17 R) have all knocked double digit hits as well.

With conference contests over the weekend, UMD will likely save its top arts for its double feature with Southern Maine. Ian-James McCasland (8.2 IP, 6.23 ERA, 5 K), Jordan Pardis (5.1 IP, 11.81 ERA, 8 K) and Ryan Jackson (12.60 ERA) have all started multiple games and could be options on the bump for the Corsairs.
