WINNECONNE, Wisc. – Over the weekend, Emily Manfra made history as the first-ever Suffolk cross country runner to compete at the NCAA Division III National Championship hosted by Wisconsin Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.
In a field of 279 of the best DIII runners from 2018, Manfra put together an 83rd place showing on the 6-meter course, crossing the tape in 22:25.6.
The performance capped off a stellar junior season that saw the Stoneham, Massachusetts native become the first-ever Ram to earn all-region honors and become one of two student-athletes, alongside her co-captain Emma Weisse garner all-conference accolades for the third time in her career.
