Cross Country Heads to UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday


BOSTON – The Suffolk men's and women's cross country team ready for its second course of the season as the Rams are set to compete at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday, Sept. 15.

THE SCHEDULE
Four different heats will race throughout the day with runners wearing in blue-and-gold racing in three; the men's sub varsity at 10:30 a.m., the men's varsity race at 11:15 a.m. and the women's varsity heat at noon.

THE COURSE
Suffolk will be racing across the Corsairs campus as both the women's 5k and the men's 8k courses are filtered through the woods surrounding the athletic facilities of UMass Dartmouth.

THE FIELD
Runners from every NCAA Division are headed to Dartmouth, Massachusetts this Saturday. Nearly 40 squads will be represented in the field including the Rams' GNAC counterparts; Anna Maria, Colby Sawyer, Johnson & Wales Regis and Rivier.

LAST TIME OUT – MEN
The Suffolk men's cross country team lifted the lid on its 2018 campaign in winning fashion August 31 as the Rams secured a pair of 5k victories at the Suffolk Duals hosted by the blue-and-gold at the Great Barrington Fairgrounds.

LAST TIME OUT – WOMEN
A trio of Ram runners lifted the lid on their 2018 campaigns as the Suffolk women's cross country team was represented by Natalia Fay, Skyler Spanbauer and Emma Weisse at the Suffolk Duals, which featured Lasell and Newbury at the Great Barrington Fairgrounds August 31.

RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Emma Weisse of the Suffolk women's cross country team was tabbed GNAC Runner of the Week after her stand-out performance at the Suffolk Duals.
