Weisse Earns All-GNAC Recognition, Women’s Cross Country Finishes Seventh

BRISTOL, R.I. – Once again, Emma Weisse led the way for Suffolk women's cross country as the Rams turned in a seventh-place performance at the GNAC Championships Saturday afternoon at Colt State Park. 

For the second straight season, the sophomore turned in a top performance, this time finishing second overall thanks to a time of 19:20. For her efforts, the Hampden, Massachusetts, native garnered all-league honors. 

Classmate Emily Manfra was just outside the top 21, placing 21st overall thanks as the sophomore came through the finishers chute in 21:15. 

Michelle Kearney grabbed 52st thanks to a 23:35 time, while Natalie Fay (27:37, 84th) and Alison Espindola (28:05, 86th) finished nearly seconds within one another. 

Withny King rounded out the Rams competitors with a time of 28:46. 

Suffolk continues its championship course competition next weekend as the Rams compete at the ECAC Championships in Milton, New York.
