Heather Cox will enter the 2009 season in her first season as Head Volleyball Coach. Cox has served as an assistant coach on the Suffolk University Volleyball staff the previous two seasons.

Cox is a 2007 graduate of Suffolk where she played volleyball for four seasons with the Rams. A starter in all four seasons, Cox spent two seasons as a libero and two as a setter. She was named a team captain her senior year and voted to the GNAC All-Star team in 2007. In 2006, as a junior she set the conference record for assists. Cox also served as the President of the Suffolk University Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) her junior and senior seasons.


Heather hails from Feeding Hills, MA and attended Agawam High School. A four year varsity letter winner in volleyball, Heather started all four seasons as a setter and was named as an “All Western Massachusetts” All-Star her senior season as well as serving as team captain. That season Heather also played on the Western Massachusetts Junior Olympic team.

Cox earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Paralegal Studies in 2007 and currently works at a Boston law firm as a paralegal.
