
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Suffolk volleyball swept Fitchburg State to wrap up its tri-match at Parkinson Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The Rams second straight victory came by set scores 25-15, 25-19 and 25-8.

SET ONE RECAP (25-15, SUFFOLK)
- Suffolk's early 6-2 lead grew to a 15-7 cushion at the midway point of the first frame.
- The advantage bloomed to double figures, 19-9.
- The teams traded points the rest of the way and Suffolk quickly took a 1-0 lead in the match.

- The Rams held a slim 6-5 edge that turned a 12-7 cushion after McKenna Keowen single handily put up five straight points with one kill and four consecutive aces.
- The distance remained at five, 15-0, and extend to 11, 23-11 thanks to an 8-2 Rams run. Keowen, Jasmines James, Emily Norgrove, Jayla Martinez and Isabelle Huzar all had kills in that span that also saw Sophie Palmer serve and ace.
- The Falcons scored six straight to cut the Rams' lead down to five, 23-18, which forced Scott Blanchard to use a timeout.
- Huzar and Chloe Clement sandwiched kills around a Fitchburg kill to lokc up the second stanza in the blue-and-gold's favor, 25-19.
SET THREE RECAP (25-8, SUFFOLK)
- Suffolk started with a 6-1 lead that blossomed into 10-2 blue-and-gold upperhand.
- The Falcons worked cut the Rams advantage down to five, 11-6.
- Suffolk went on a 7-2 stretch that built a 10-point margin, 18-8, and forced the Falcons into their second timeout of the set.
- The Rams rattled off seven points in a row out of the huddle to secure the set and match.
STATISCALLY SPEAKING
- Keowen contributed a 16-dig, 11-kill double-double with six aces and two assists.
- Shore added nine kills on a .692 attack percentage with three blocks and one ace.
- Clement registered seven kills and a pair of blocks.
- Huzar and Norgrove had five kills apiece. The former's contribution came on a .625 attack percentage.
- Martinez and Aislinn Lanigan set-up the attack with 17 assists and 14 assists, respectively.
- Morgan Kelsey added 24 digs and four aces.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Rams remain unbeaten, 4-0, all-time against the Falcons.
- The Rams battled at Fitchburg State for the second straight season.
