BOSTON – Suffolk volleyball treks up to Gorham, Maine Thursday, Sept. 19 for a tilt at Southern Maine. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Down 2-0, Suffolk volleyball stormed back, tied things up at 2-all and took the fifth and deciding set easily to defeat Framingham State, 3-2, Tuesday night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The comeback win came via set scores 21-25, 21-25, 25-12, 25-11 and 25-5. 

Sami Shore was instrumental to Suffolk's success as the sophomore supplied a match-best 20 kills on a .679 attack percentage with five blocks.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has rattled off three straight wins to bring a 9-2 record to Vacation Land. The triumphs came over Sage (3-0), SUNY Oswego (3-1) and Framingham State (3-2).  

McKenna Keowen paces the Rams' 12.15 kills per set (kps) with 3.05 kps to her credit. She is the top threat at the service line as well with 0.68 aces per set. Sami Shore and Chloe Clement provided over 2.00 kps to the offense as well with 2.27 kps and 2.10 kps, respectively. Jayla Martinez is the usual setter for Suffolk with 6.29 assists per set. Aislinn Lanigan helps set up the attack as well with 3.71 assists per set. 

Morgan Kelsey is the backbone of the blue-and-gold's defense with 4.41 digs per set (dps). Keowen adds 3.22 dps and Shore supplies 0.76 blocks per set (bps) at the net.

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HUSKIES
Southern Maine is 2-7 on the season. The Huskies split their tri-match with Mass. Maritime and Trinity over the weekend. USM swept MMA and fell to the Bantams in straight sets.  

Drew Johnson is a two-way player for the Huskies with a team-best 2.61 kps and 2.14 dps, good for second on the squad. Ella Koehler (1.77 kps) and Anyelis Hernandez (1.71 kps) are consistent in the attack conversation that is primarily set up by Macie Amher (5.32 assists per set). 

Sierra Castonguay, who serves 0.67 aces per set, tops the defensive effort with 2.41 dps. Madison Zimmer pitches in 0.71 bps.
