Suffolk volleyball put an exclamation mark on its season-opening date as the Rams defeated Western Connecticut State, 4-1, Saturday at the Campus Recreation Center on the campus of Roger Williams to cap off play at the RWU Invitational. The decision came via set scores 25-14, 25-15, 19-25 and 25-18.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk started the season 2-0 for the first time since 2016 after sweeping New England College and besting WestConn, 4-1, at the RWU Invitational Saturday.
McKenna Keowen led the offensive charge for the blue-and-gold in Rhode Island with 3.14 kills per set (kps) on a .274 attack clip. The senior added 0.71 aces per set and was second on the squad with 3.57 digs per set (dps). Chloe Clement was a two-way player as well with 3.00 kps and 0.75 blocks per set (bps). Sami Shore dominated at the service line with seven aces to go along with a 1.00 bps effort. Jayla Martinez (6.00 assists per set) and Aislinn Lanigan (4.00 assists per set) split time as Suffolk's setter. Morgan Kelsey topped the defensive unit with 4.00 digs per set.

BULLDOGS BREAKDOWN
Dean pulled the curtain back on its 2024 calendar with a 3-1 win over Bay Path Friday.
Chloe Demaio and Emily Ball are the attack leaders with 2.50 kps and 2.25 kps, respectively. Anabella Driscoll is the primary setter for the Bulldogs with 7.33 assists per set. Skylar Raskevitz and Olivia Mackinnon have each provided 1.00 aces per set. Defensively, Raskevitz paces the pack with 3.50 digs per set. Mackinnon adds 3.33 dps and Demaio is the biggest threat at the net with 0.75 bps.
