WILLIAMNATIC, Conn. – For the first time in program history, Suffolk volleyball defeated Eastern Connecticut State and did so in sweeping fashion Saturday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium. The straight set victory came via set scores 25-21, 25-18 and 25-12.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Sami Shore led the attack with eight kills on a .353 connection rate. The freshman also supplied three blocks and two digs.
- McKenna Keowen had seven kills, nine digs, three aces and one assist to her credit.
- Aislinn Lanigan logged 14 assists, three digs and one ace.
- Jayla Martinez registered 12 handouts, four aces, two digs and one kill.
- Morgan Kelsey served eight aces to go along with a team-best 13digs with a pair of helpers.
NOTEWORTHY
- The win marked Suffolk's first over Eastern Conn. State in a series that dates back to 2012.
- The Rams moved to 1-2 all-time against the Warriors.
- All three matches between Suffolk and Eastern Conn. State have been 3-0 decisions.
- Suffolk played at Eastern Conn. State for the first time.
- Kelsey tied a career-high eight aces. The junior has served eight aces in her career three times.
