SANDUSKY, Ohio – Suffolk volleyball entered the win column in sweeping fashion as the Rams took down Trine in straight sets at the Great Lakes Crossover at Cedar Point Sports Center. The win, the blue-and-gold's first of 2023, came via set scores 25-15, 28-26 and 25-22.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk sailed past Trine in the first frame. Up 12-10, the Rams put together a 5-1 run to put the set away.
The second set was a back-and-forth battle. An attack error by Trine followed by a solo block from McKenna Keowen locked up the set win.
The third set remained tight with things even at 18-all. Three consecutive points from Suffolk forced a Trine timeout. The Thunderended up outscoring the blue-and-gold 3-2 down the stretch, thankfully Suffolk's advantage paid off.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Keowen anchored Suffolk's attack with nine kills on a .250 hitting clip. She added six digs, four aces and one block.
- Sami Shore supplied six kills on a .556 connection rate and had two helpers.
- Jessica Weber, Grace Cervenka and Jasmine James all had five kills to their credit.
- Jayla Martinez and Aislinn Lanigan split the setter roll with 11 assists and 10 assists, respectively.
- Tatum Kalt pitched 13 digs.
- Morgan Kelsey registered 11 digs, one ace and one assist.
NOTEWORTY
- Suffolk met Trine for the first time in program history.
- Shore logged a career-high five kills.
