BOSTON – Suffolk volleyball is doing its part in the battle against breast cancer by putting on a Dig Pink tri-match this Saturday, Oct. 1 with Union and Fitchburg State at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The Rams will open the action at 11 a.m. versus the Dutchwomen before facing the Falcons at 3 p.m.

DIG PINK
Join Suffolk volleyball in the fight against breast cancer on Saturday, Oct. 1.
All fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause. Donations will be collected online here and benefit Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer organization that addresses the disease on multiple fronts in order to make the biggest impact it can.
LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk volleyball captured its first Commonwealth Coast Conference victory of the season as the Rams took down the Golden Bears of Western New England, 3-1, Wednesday night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The triumph came via set scores 25-21, 25-20, 22-25 and 25-16.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has rattled off three wins in a row to sit at 11-5 on the year. The Rams are threats on their home hardwood, Smith Court, with a 5-2 ledger in front of their own crowd.
The blue-and-gold's 11.53 kills per set offense sees a pair of players provide over 3.00 kps in Jess Weber (3.81 kps) and McKenna Keowen (3.39). Grace Cervenka is a consistent contributor to the offense as well with 2.29 kps. Harmony Johnson sets up the attack with 7.19 aps with Jayla Martinez (4.83 aps) playing a setter role as well. Morgan Kelsey is a threat from the service line with 1.28 aces per set to her credit.
Kenzley Bell's 4.36 dps leads the defense that receives 2.16 dps from Tatum Kalt. Cervenka (0.57 bps) and Alina Nowakowski (0.56 bps) pace the effort at the net.
GET TO KNOW THE DUTCHWOMEN
Union has coupled together 3-1 victories to take an 8-6 mark into the weekend that opens for the Dutchwomen at Smith Friday, Sept. 30.
Shannon McGrath factors into the offense and defense with a team-best 3.46 kps and 2.56 dps, good for second on the squad. Keara Page (2.77 kps) and Nikki Newcomer (2.14 kps) chip in over 2.00 kps apiece to the Dutchwomen's 11.13 kps. Haley Kresch (4.81 aps) and Brooke Fleming (4.00 aps) split time as Union's setter.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk and Union have met once, Sept. 11 2021. The Rams won that meeting, 3-1.

FALCONS FACTS
Fitchburg State is 3-6 on the year after falling in three consecutive contests.
Stephanie Sardella's 2.21 kps is the biggest offense force. Samantha Mirra, who backstops the defense with 3.03 dps, adds 1.76 kps to a 7.38 kps attack that is set up by Emily Gelinas (2.91 aps) and Meredith Taylor (2.71 aps).
