QUINCY, Mass. – Suffolk volleyball wasted no time in bouncing back from a straight set loss as the Rams swept Maine Presque Isle Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center to wrap up action at the ENC Invitational. The match came via set scores 25-13, 25-19 and 25-15.
THE BASICS

SET ONE RECAP (25-13, SUFFOLK)
- Suffolk went up 8-3.
- The Rams strung together an 11-1 stretch to make things lopsided, 19-5.
- Things evened out the rest of the way, however, the blue-and-gold's early advantage paid off for Suffolk.
SET TWO RECAP (25-19, SUFFOLK)
- Suffolk had to fight back as it trailed 8-7.
- The Rams managed to pull in front, 12-10, behind a 4-1 run.
- The teams traded points until the blue-and-gold put together a 7-1 rally. That spurt gave Suffolk a 22-15 cushion.
- It was cruise control for the Rams, who secured the set 25-19.
SET THREE RECAP (25-15, SUFFOLK)
- An early 5-0 advantage for Suffolk blossomed into a 12-4 advantage.
- The Rams kept their foot on the gas pedal to lock up the set and match.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Jess Weber contributed nine kills, two aces and two blocks.
- Chloe Clement added seven kills and three digs.
- McKenna Keowen pitched in six kills, three digs and two aces.
- Kenzley Bell recoded 11 digs, three assists, and four aces.
- Morgan Kelsey served eight aces and four digs.
- Harmony Johnson logged 25 assists, one ace, one dig and one kill.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk started a season 2-1 for the second straight season.
- The Rams moved to 3-0 all-time against UMPI.
- All three victories over the Owls have come under Scott Blanchard and in straight sets.
- Suffolk had 18 aces for the first time since matching that number in a straight set win over Curry Oct. 27, 2021.
- Kelsey served a career-high eight aces.
- Weber tallied a career-best in digs (5) and blocks (2).
- Cervenka notched the first ace of her collegiate career.
