BOSTON – Suffolk women's volleyball took the first set, but could not hold off Wentworth, who strung three set victories together, to take a 3-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over the Rams Tuesday at Larry E. & Michael S. Smith Court. The conference contest was determined by set scores 19-25, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-8.

SET ONE RECAP (25-19, SUFFOLK)
- Out of an 8-all tie, Suffolk ran off the next seven points to go up 15-9.
- The Leopards looked to level matters with five unanswered points of their own to pull back within one, 15-14.
- A timeout helped the Rams gain composure as they rattled off five straight points out of the huddle to take a 20-15 cushion.
- That five-point advantage played in Suffolk's favor as the teams traded points the rest of the way.
SET TWO RECAP (25-18, WENTWORTH)
- Suffolk fell behind early, 7-3.
- The Rams managed to pull back within two on multiple occasions with the last coming at 12-10.
- From there the Leopards leaped ahead to its largest lead of the set, 20-14.
- A timeout did not help Suffolk as WIT outscored the host, 5-3, the rest of the way.
SET THREE RECAP (25-22, WENTWORTH)
- From an 11-11 score, Wentworth grabbed a 13-11 gap that turned into a 17-14 margin.
- The Rams remained in the hunt and evened the playing field at 18-all.
- A kill by Julia Leavey pushed the blue-and-gold in front.
- Suffolk's lead did not last long as the Leopards answered with three points in a row to go ahead 21-19.
- The Rams rallied, but not enough, as Wentworth managed to hang on for the 25-22 win.
SET FOUR RECAP (25-8, WENTWORTH)
- Wentworth took a 5-0 lead early that blossomed into a 14-1 cushion.
- Suffolk used both of its timeouts in that span and had too much ground to make up.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- McKenna Keowen dominated the Rams' 48-kill offense with 20 kills of her own on a .474 hitting clip. The freshman added five digs and one helper.
- Leavey supplied seven kills and two digs.
- Jasmine James pitched in six kills.
- Harmony Johnson dished out 25 assists, while Jayla Martinez handed out 15 helpers.
- Kenzley Bell registered 19 digs.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk and Wentworth needed four sets to decide a winner for the eighth time in the all-time series.
- Keowen notched 20 kills this season and for the second time in her career.
