BOSTON – Suffolk volleyball remains out of league action and on the road this weekend as it makes the trip to Keene, New Hampshire for a tri-match at Keene State featuring UMass Dartmouth Saturday, Oct. 19. The Rams open the day at 2 p.m. against the Corsairs and wrap up action in the Granite State against the hosts Owls at 4 p.m.

BENCH PRESS FOR BREAST CANCER
Members of Ram Nation are asked to pull their weight in an effort to take the load off of those affected by breast cancer in Suffolk Athletics' Bench Press for Breast Cancer event Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk volleyball slipped in non-conference play Tuesday night to Worcester Polytechnic Institute at the Harrington Auditorium. The setback came by set scores 25-21, 25-15 and 25-13.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk carries a 15-7 overall record into Saturday's showdown and looks to get back in the win column after Tuesday's straight set setback at WPI.
Hannah Fabiano's 2.97 kps anchor the Rams' 10.19 kps attack, which is primarily set up by Harmony Johnson's 7.93 aps. Kayla Barbera adds 1.96 kps and Sarah Mullahy chips in 1.85 kps to the offense.
Defensively, Kenzley Bell's 3.71 dps leads the way with Dakhensey Marcellus pitching in 3.43 dps, while Mullahy (0.47 bps) and Stephanie Rheaume (0.46 bps) hold down the net.
CORSAIRS CATCHUP
UMass Dartmouth returned to the win column Wednesday night with a sweep at Rhode Island College to move to 7-12 on the season. Prior to facing Suffolk Saturday, the Corsairs with battle Keene State in the first match of the day.
Nicole Silverman is a consistent contributor both offensively and defensively for UMD with 2.84 kps and 2.75 dps. Mallory Singer and Emma Aillet registered 1.87 kps and 1.85 kps, respectively. A trio has shared setting duties in Jordan Rittberger (4.45 aps), Courtney Carreiro (3.19 aps) and Riley Thomas (3.00 aps).
Jillian Sykora's 4.74 dps pace the defensive unit that receives 0.53 bps from Tashneal Africa.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Since 2003, Suffolk is 3-11 all-time versus UMass Dartmouth.
- The Rams picked up back-to-back wins to start the series, then lost seven straight before winning its third match in 2013.
- The Corsairs are on a four-match series win streak versus Suffolk.
- Suffolk is the most successful when taking Dartmouth to four sets, holding a 2-2 record in such matches.
- In sweeps, the Rams have one win compared to UMass' seven.
- Dartmouth holds the pair of five-set decisions, including the rivals last meeting in 2017.
- Suffolk looks for its first win over Dartmouth since 2013.
OWLS OUTLOOK
Keene State dropped a heated five-set battle at Plymouth State Wednesday night to head into the weekend 17-7 on the year.
The Owls' powerful 12.11 kps offense sees a pair of student-athletes average well over 2.00 kps in Ali McLoughlin (3.29 kps) and Megan Palmer (2.58 kps). Bailey Wilson has held down the setting responsibilities for Keene State, dishing out 9.43 aps.
Olivia Mathieu's 5.73 dps leads the defense that receives 3.71 dps from Palmer, 2.53 dps from Sydney Johnson and 0.62 bps from Elizabeth Johnson.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk and Keene will meet for the second time dating back to 2003.
- The Owls swept the Rams in the first-ever meeting, Nov. 1, 2008.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk returns to the friendly confines of the Ridgeway Building Wednesday, Oct. 23 when it welcomes Regis to the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The GNAC clash is scheduled for a 7 p.m. first serve.
