Volleyball’s Littlefield Tabbed All-Sportsmanship Team

BOSTON – Sydney Littlefield of the Suffolk volleyball team earned a spot on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team, the league office announced Tuesday.

Littlefield is what a student-athlete should be. Over the past two seasons, she has added charisma, knowledge and light to the Rams' lineup, accumulating 76 digs, four aces and two kills across 30 matches and 64 sets played. The Methuen, Massachusetts, product, who is graduating a year early with a degree in marketing, has stood out not just athletically during her time at Suffolk, lettering in both volleyball and softball, but has embodied the true meaning of a Division III student-athlete. As President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee she has represented the student-athlete body as keynote speaker at back-to-back Suffolk University Hall of Fame ceremonies and the dedication of the Michael and Larry Smith Fitness center, while holding down an outstanding GPA of 3.987.

Littlefield has and will continue to be a great example to her teammates as a competitor that knows how to play the game right and gives it everything she has and leaves it on the court. She exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship, character and ethical conduct in the true spirit of competition and Division III athletics.

The all-sportsmanship team was established to honor one player from each team in the conference with outstanding dedication to sportsmanship and for their portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play and a positive attitude.

Littlefield played a main ingredient to Suffolk's GNAC post-season trip, the Rams' first since 2013, thanks to the blue and gold's 11 overall and four conference victories, which mark the most since Suffolk went 16-14 and 5-6 against league opponents in 2013.
