BOSTON – The Suffolk women's volleyball team will take the short trip to Fenway Saturday, Oct. 8 as the Rams are set for a GNAC tri-match at Emmanuel. Suffolk will first take on the hosts Saints at 12 p.m., before facing the Falcons of Albertus Magnus at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk volleyball team saw its four-match win streak come to a screeching halt Wednesday night as Saint Joseph's (Maine) downed the Rams, 3-1, inside Regan Gymnasium. The GNAC setback came by set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-12.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk is 8-7 on the year and 1-2 in GNAC play this season. The Rams are 4-1 in the last five matches with two victories coming in the friendly confines of Regan Gymnasium, one away from home and one on a neutral court.

A trio of sophomores carry the offensive load for the Rams as Bridget Allison (1.81 kps) Chidera Nwankwo (1.74 kps) and Talia Lombardo (1.73 kps) all record well over 1.00 kps. Lombardo also pitches in 2.14 aps and 0.69 service aces per set to the offense effort. Liz Kerek (4.15 aps) has seen the majority of action as Suffolk's setter with Rachel Fancy (2.22 aps) also setting up the Rams. Defensively, Suffolk's offense threesome also steps up as - Allison (2.43 dps/0.60 bps), Lombardo (3.02 dps) and Nwankwo (0.57 bps) -  but its Jessica Rexrode who leads the way with 3.64 dps. 

SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SAINTS
Emmanuel swept Regis Thursday night to move to 8-12 overall in 2016. In GNAC play, the Saints have faced Mount Ida (W, 3-0), Anna Maria (W, 3-2), Saint Joseph's (Conn.) (W, 3-0) and Norwich (W, 3-0) to carry an undefeated conference 4-0 mark into the weekend. 

Mary Shelow (2.77 kps) and Kaitlyn Atkinson (1.68 kps) are the offensive threats for Emmanuel. Carly Church (3.61 aps) and Samantha DeMarco (3.27 aps) have split action in the Saints' setter role. Atkinson (0.58 bps) and Shelow (0.55 bps) also lead the team at the net with Sarah Schemerhor (3.98 dps) adding to the defensive effort.

FALCONS FACTS
Albertus Magnus (5-11) fell at Mount Ida, 3-1, to remain winless against conference competition this season. 

Ashley David paces the Falcons' line up with 2.04 kps, while most of the offense flows through Marielis Murial (4.62 aps), who also provides 2.36 dps. Tatiana Hernandez' 2.75 dps leads the defense with Nashalie Bayona (2.60 dps) and Ashley David (2.38 dps) contributing to the effort.
