BOSTON – The Suffolk volleyball team will take the floor at Regan Gymnasium one final time in 2015 as the Rams host Emmanuel and Albertus Magnus in #RamNationWhiteOut and Senior Day Saturday. Suffolk will first face the Saints at 11 a.m., before closing out its home schedule against the Falcons at 3 p.m. Emmanuel and Albertus Magnus will play each other in the middle match at 1 p.m. Prior to first serve on Saturday, the Rams will honor the playing career of senior Caitlyn Mockler

#RamNationWhiteOut
Suffolk fans, it's time to whiteout Cambridge Street Saturday when the volleyball team is back in action at Regan Gymnasium for its final home tri-match of the season. The Rams need your support so be sure to come out to the matches, cheer on the Rams and take part in #RamNationWhiteOut by wearing white. The first 100 fans will receive a free t-shirt.

THANK YOU SENIOR!
Prior to first-serve against the Saints, Suffolk will honor its lone senior Caitlyn Mocker. The Manchester, Conneticut native has been instrumental to the team's growth over the past four seasons, highlighted by a GNAC post season appearance in 2013. In her four-year career with the Rams, Mockler has accumulated 31 kills, 111 assists, 161 digs and 13 aces in 53 matches and 139 sets played.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk volleyball team got back on the winning track Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Mount Ida at the MIC Athletic Center. The triumph came by set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 19-25 and 25-17.

Chidera Nwankwo paced Suffolk as she notched 10 kills. Jane Buckley pitched in nine kills on a .600 hitting clip to the offensive effort. Liz Kerek handed out 16 assists and chipped in 11 digs for the second double-double of her career, while Heidy Barreiro led the Rams defensive effort with a career-high 19 digs. Talia Lombardo added on both sides of the net with 12 digs and four kills.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk is 6-18 overall and 2-6 in GNAC play this season. The Rams are 2-3 in the last five matches with both victories coming in the friendly confines of Regan Gymnasium.  

Chidera Nwankwo carries the offensive load for the Rams with a team-best 1.79 kps with Bridget Allison (1.70 kps), Talia Lombardo (1.53 kps) and Jane Buckley (1.31 kps) adding to the effort. Liz Kerek (4.07 aps) has seen the majority of action as Suffolk's setter. Lombardo's 3.10 dps pace the defense while Emma Feeney contributes 2.79 dps.

SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SAINTS
Emmanuel notched a 3-1 victory at Simmons to move to 5-2 in conference play, good for fourth place. The Saints are 7-14 on the year and, similar to Suffolk, have gone 2-3 in the last five matches.

Cassie Chruscielski (1.98 kps) and Mary Shelow (1.86 kps) are the offensive threats for Emmanuel. Shannon Dudley has seen the majority of action as setter, dishing out 7.68 aps, while Carly Church (3.44 aps) and Sarah Schemerhorn (2.68 aps) have also taken on the setter role. The Saints' block a conference best 1.71 bps with Brittany Tutalo's 0.82 bps leading the way. Kaitlyn Atikinson adds to the effort with 0.77 bps, with Casey Sheehan chipping in 3.10 dps.

FACTS ON THE FALCONS
Albertus Magnus (4-13) split last weekend's matches, suffering a straight set loss to Rivier, before sweeping Norwich. At 1-6 in GNAC play, the Falcons are 11th entering the weekend. Similar to Suffolk and Emmanuel, Albertus Magnus is 2-3 in the last five matches, however, the all five of the Falcons' matches were decided in straight sets.

Megan Grtiz paces the Falcons' lineup with 2.09 kps, while most of the offense flows through Ramona Onofrio (3.95 aps), who also provides 0.69 aces per set, the best in the conference. Onofrio's 2.76 dps leads the defense with Marielis Muriel (2.28 dps), Ana Gomez (2.26 dps) and Megan Warnke (2.06 dps) notching over 2.00 dps.

SERVING UP ACES
Suffolk scored 19 aces in a straight set victory over Massachusetts Maritime, marking the most aces for a Rams' squad since 2011. Freshman Talia Lombardo tallied eight aces in the victory, the most for a Ram since Melissa Griffin '12 served that number in a 3-1 victory over Eastern Nazarene September 22, 2011.

LOOKING AHEAD
Suffolk wraps up the regular season on the road next week as the Rams visit Johnson & Wales Tuesday, before stepping out of GNAC action in the season finale at Smith Thursday. Both matches are slated for a 7 p.m. start.
