Volleyball Drops Contests with Coast Guard and Lasell

NEWTON, Mass. – The Suffolk volleyball team dropped a pair of straight set matches to Coast Guard and Lasell Saturday afternoon at the Lasers' Athletic Center. 

In game one, Suffolk (5-18) fell victim to Coast Guard, who carried its momentum over from its straight set win over Lasell in the tri-match opener. The Rams fell in straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-14. 

Jane Buckley contributed a team-high four kills to lead the offense, while Liz Kerek chipped in eight assists and six digs. 

Against Lasell in GNAC action, Suffolk was defeated in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-10. 

Chidera Nwankwo provided a five kills to pace Suffolk's offense while Buckley was the defensive force with 12 digs. 

Suffolk returns to action Wednesday night at Mount Ida at 6 p.m.
