BOSTON – The Suffolk volleyball continues its six-match road swing to start the season Tuesday night as it heads to Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts for a match at Massachusetts Maritime. The Rams and Buccaneers are scheduled for a 7 p.m. match at  Clean Harbors Center.

LAST TIME OUT
In the first match of the season, the Suffolk volleyball team ran into a strong Gordon squad, dropping a 3-0 match to the Fighting Scouts September 2 at the Bennett Center.

Talia Lombardo was Suffolk's top hitter in her first collegiate match as the freshman tallied six kills, while sophomore Jane Buckley provided five. First-year Emma Feeney had a team-high 14 digs and four service aces and sophomore Liz Kerek passed out 17 assists.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
In a team filled of underclassmen and led by new guidance of Bonny Ducharme, Suffolk has a well-balanced offensive attack with Talia Lombardo's six kills leading the pack. Jane Buckley is second on the squad with five kills, while Chidera Nwannwo has four to her credit. Liz Kerek handles the setting responsibilities for the Rams with 17 assists. Defensively, Emma Feeney leads the way with 14 digs.  

BASICS ON THE BUCCANEERS
Mass. Maritime dropped to 0-1 on the year after being swept by Becker Thursday. The Buccaneers were led offensively by Emily Calnan who notched six kills on a .294 hitting clip. Melissa Harris and Charleen Klangos ran the offense from the setter position with three assist and two assists, respectively. Kaleight Hoffman is the team's primary defensive specialist as she tallied six digs with Emma Ethier and Klangos provided four apiece. 

#RAMSFANFEST
Suffolk fans are invited to be a part of history Saturday, Sept. 12 as the Rams host their first soccer doubleheader at its new home turf, East Boston Memorial Park. The first Rams Fan Fest kicks off with a celebratory ceremony of Suffolk's partnership with East Boston before the women's soccer team hosts Lasell at 1:45 p.m., followed by the men's team battling Mount Ida at 4:30 p.m. The event begins at 12:30 p.m.

LOOKING AHEAD
Three more matches are in store for Suffolk for the remainder of the week as it has appointments at Bridgewater State Thursday and is set to open GNAC play with its first tri-match as the Rams take on Norwich at the University of Saint Joseph's Saturday.
