The Suffolk University Volleyball team swept a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches on Saturday afternoon to earn the program's first berth into postseason action since the 2006 season.

Suffolk defeated both the Norwich University Cadets and Albertus Magnus College Falcons by 3-0 scores on Saturday to bring their season mark to 15-13 overall.

The seedings and schedule for the eight team tournament will be announced later in the week, but Saturday's victories bring Suffolk to a 5-6 mark in GNAC play.

Saturday's event was also part of "Dig Lavender" an initiative under Head Coach Kristine Mickelson. All three teams wore purple warmup shirts to draw awareness and also raise funds for Adrenocortical Carcinoma. Donations can still be made by visiting their website:  www.youcaring.com/dig-lavender
