Senior Colbey Kennedy (Old Lyme, Conn.) became the first player in Suffolk University Volleyball program history to record 1,000 career digs on Thursday evening. Kennedy tabbed 19 digs on the evening as Suffolk defeated the University of St. Joseph 3-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Suffolk rallied from down two games to one winning the fourth set by a 25-18 score before closing out the fifth set, 17-15. Freshman Savannah Carpenter (Weston, Conn.) put Suffolk ahead by a point in the final game as both teams were even at 15 with one of her two service aces on the night. Senior Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) closed out the game with one of her game-high 19 kills on the night.

The win moves Suffolk to a 10-10 overall mark on the season as they pick up their first win in GNAC action.

Brillaud combined for 19.5 points on the evening for the Rams as she combined for 64 total attacks on the night.

Kennedy and Carpenter each had a pair of service aces as Suffolk combined for eight total in the five match contest.

The Rams also had 14 blocks on the evening as a team.

Senior Sarah Arbogast (Chesterfield, Mo.) recorded 24 setting assists in the victory for the Rams.

Suffolk will be back in action Saturday afternoon as they host a GNAC tri-match with Emmanuel College and Anna Maria College coming over to the Regan Gymnasium for an 11:00am triple header.
