Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Victory over Lesley

The Suffolk University Volleyball team defeated the Lesley University Lynx, 3-0 on Tuesday evening in non-conference action at the Regan Gymnasium.

Junior Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) recorded 22 kills to pace the Rams as they move to a 7-7 overall record on the season. Brillaud added three service aces and eight digs for Suffolk.

After going to a tiebreak in set one, 27-25 the Rams cruised in the following two sets; 25-11 and 25-14 to sweep the match.

Senior Colbey Kennedy (Old Lyme, Conn.) recorded 13 digs in the contest for Suffolk, while sophomore Kristin Hartnett (Wakefield, R.I.) added three service aces and eight digs.

Senior Katrina Strongaoff (Cedar Grove, N.J.) led the Lynx with seven kills on the evening, while sophomore Danielle MacDonald (Lilitz, Pa.) added six kills. Freshman Vanessa Smith (Somersworth, N.H.) had a game-high five solo blocks for Lesley, who fall to a 4-7 mark on the year with the loss.

Lesley will be idle for a week until they travel to Daniel Webster College for a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) match at 7:00pm in Nashua. Suffolk will travel to Salem State University on Saturday for a non-conference tri-match beginning at 1:00pm.
