Volleyball Extends Win Streak to Four

Junior Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) notched 12 kills to lead Suffolk to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Tuesday evening by game scores of 25-5, 25-19 and 25-8 in a match played at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.
 
Freshman Savannah Carpenter (Weston, Conn.) added five kills and 15 digs in the triumph for the visiting Rams (4-3), who also received four kills and 17 set assists from senior Sarah Arbogast (Chesterfield, Mo.), three kills and a pair of solo blocks from senior Kathryn Babb (Manchester, N.H.) and five service aces from junior Kathleen Matatall (Danville, N.H.).
 
Juniors Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) and Meghan Weir (North Andover, Mass.) each had four kills in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-4), who also received a pair of kills each from junior Danielle Soar (Templeton, Mass.) and Melissa Harris (Scituate, Mass.) as well as 12 digs from freshman Stephanie O'Connor (Westwood, Mass.).
 
Massachusetts Maritime travels to Castine, Maine on Saturday morning to take on both Maine Maritime and SUNY-Maritime in opening round play of the Fourth Annual Maritime Classic beginning at 11:00 a.m., while Suffolk heads to Nashua, N.H. on Thursday evening to take on Daniel Webster in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m.
