Volleyball cruises to 3-0 Win Over Bucs

The Suffolk University Volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Thursday evening.

The Rams took the first game 25-8 before a late rally by the Bucs led to a 25-22 Suffolk victory in game two. Game three was won with ease as the Rams were victorious 25-1 as they improve to a 5-6 overall mark on the season.

Sophomore Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) led all players with 12 kills on the evening as she also had a team-high with six digs and posted a solo block in the victory for the Rams.

Junior Sarah Arbogast (Chesterfield, Mo.) chipped in with eight kills on the night, while her and junior Colbey Kennedy (Old Lyme, Conn.) each recorded four service aces in the three set match for the Rams.

Sophomore Glamarys Sierra (Carolina, Puerto Rico) had 12 setting assists, while junior Erica Begin (Windham, N.H.) and sophomore Kathleen Matatall (Danville, N.H.) collected three kills each on the night.

Suffolk will be back on action on Saturday afternoon in a double header. The Rams will travel to Anna Maria College as part of a tri-match squaring off against the AMCATS in GNAC competition, while also playing Castleton State in a non-conference matchup.
