Volleyball Wins Third Straight


The Suffolk University Volleyball team made it three straight victories as they topped Lesley University, 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Rams won the first two sets with ease 25-12 and 25-13 but needed a late rally to over come a six-point deficit on won point to finish the match with a 26-24 win in the third set.

Senior Melissa Griffin (Byfield, Mass.) had a team-high 13 kills in the game, including eight in final set as the Rams now move to a 5-9 overall record on the season.

Sophomore Maggie Hillman (North Andover, Mass.) posted nine kills along with nine digs and recorded seven service aces on the evening.

Junior Hannah Davis (Haverhill, Mass.) had three blocks while sophomore Sarah Arbogast (Chesterfield, Mo.) and freshman Glamarys Sierra (Carolina, Puerto Rico) each recorded 15 setting assists.

The Rams will be back in action on Thursday evening as they take on Newbury College in non-conference action beginning at 7:00pm at the Regan Gymnasium.
