Volleyball Posts 3-0 Shutout Over Salem State

The Suffolk University Volleyball team posted a 3-0 shutout over the Salem State University Vikings on Tuesday evening.

Senior Melissa Griffin (Byfield, Mass.) posted a team-high in kills with 13 and added 18 digs to lead the Rams to their third win of the season, while sophomore Maggie Hillman (North Andover, Mass.) matched her season-high with 11 kills while adding 11 digs in the Rams victory.

Suffolk won three consecutive sets by scores of 25-11, 25-18 and 25-15.

Freshman Glamarys Sierra (Carolina, Puerto Rico) recorded 25 setting assists in the three-set match, while junior Jennifer Duston (Nashua, N.H.) added 12.

Sophomore Colbey Kennedy (Old Lyme, Conn.) had another strong defensive game for the Rams as she had a team-high in digs with 21.

Suffolk will be back in action on Thursday evening as they host Eastern Nazarene College at 7:00pm at the Regan Gymnasium. The event will be part of Suffolk Spirit Night, hosted by the Athletics Department as well as the Office of Retention Services. Food and drinks will be served during the match to those who wish to come out and support the Rams.
