Volleyball Tops Curry 3-0

Boston, Mass. – The Suffolk University Volleyball team (2-6 overall) topped the Curry College Colonels (0-5 overall) by a 3-0 match score on Thursday evening. The Rams wasted no time in picking up their second win of the year as the match lasted just under an hour with Suffolk sweeping all three sets, 25-10, 25-12, and 25-10.

Junior Melissa Griffin (Byfield, Mass.) led the Rams with seven kills and 12 digs. Senior Julie Sullivan (Haverhill, Mass.) had a team-high three service aces on the evening to go along with 19 setting assists. Senior Kelly Loder (Billerica, Mass.) was strong defensively leading the team with four blocks on the evening. Freshmen Maggie Hillman (North Andover, Mass.) and Jaqueline Dugas (Sarasota Spring, N.Y.) each had 12 digs a piece as well in the contest.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to New Haven, Connecticut for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference tri-match hosted by Albertus Magnus College. Suffolk will take on both the Falcons and the Emerson College Lions that day.
