BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Sophomore Melissa Griffin (Byfield, Mass.) recorded nine kills to lead Suffolk to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-12 in a match played Thursday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Senior Kelsey Armstrong-Hann (Corvallis, Ore.) added 11 service aces in the triumph for the visiting Rams (2-0), who also received four kills and five service aces from junior Kelly Loder (Billerica, Mass.).

Freshman Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) collected seven kills and six digs in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-4), who also received four kills each from junior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) as well as six digs from freshman Laura Basile (Cambridge, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Monday evening for a non-league outing with Pine Manor that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Suffolk hosts UMass Boston in a non-league match on Tuesday evening at Regan Gymnasium in Boston beginning at 7:00 p.m.
