Boston, MA - The Suffolk University Volleyball team had their rally fall just short as they fell to the Lesley University Lynx on Monday evening, 3-2. Suffolk had battled back from a two games to one deficit to win game four, and were trailing in game five 13-8 before giving way to Lesley 15-13 in the fifth and final set.
Sophomore Melissa Griffin (Byfield, MA) led the Rams with 14 kills and nine digs on the evening. Senior Kelsey Armstrong-Hann (Corvallis, OR) finished with 12 kills and five digs. Junior Julie Sullivan (Haverhill, MA) finished with a season-high 26 setting assists to go along with five service aces as well. Junior Kelly Loder (Billerica, MA) had seven kills, two service aces and had two solo blocks. Freshman Hannah Davis (Haverhill, MA) had three kills and two solo blocks as well.
Suffolk is back in action on Thursday as they host Simmons College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at 7:00pm in the Regan Gymnasium.
