Volleyball takes down Eastern Nazarene 3-1

Boston, MA - The Suffolk University Rams (4-4) defeated Eastern Nazarene College (1-12), 3 - 1 on Thursday evening in a non-conference matchup.  The Rams were victorious in the first two games, 25-20 and 25-18 before dropping the third set 25-18. Suffolk held on to win game four 25-22.

Senior Kelsey Armstrong-Hann (Corvallis, OR) posted 12 total kiss and two service aces to help lead the Rams to their fourth win of the season. Sophomore Tanya Fortes (Pembroke, MA) also posted eight kills in the match, including four in the clincher. Sophomore Melissa Griffin (Byfield, MA) finished the night with six kills and a season-high six service aces. The Rams were victorious in the first two games, 25-20 and 25-18 before dropping the third set 25-18. Suffolk held on to win game four 25-22. Junior Julie Sullivan (Haverhill, MA) had twenty setting assists on the evening.

Suffolk will be back in action this Saturday as they have a double-header at Mount Ida College. The Rams will be taking on Mount Ida and Pine Manor in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tri-Match.
