Volleyball Picks Up Road Victory

Salem, MA - The Suffolk University Volleyball team (6-12) defeated Salem State College by a score of 3-1 on Thursday evening in a non-conference matchup. The Rams took the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-21, before dropping game three, 17-25 before rolling to a 25-6 game four, match-clinching victory.

Junior Julie Sullivan (Haverhill, MA) had seven kills and 22 setting assists to go along with 17 digs and two service aces. Senior Kelsey Armstrong-Hann (Corvallis, OR) led the Rams with nine kills and 19 digs on the evening. Sophomore Melissa Griffin (Byfield, MA) led the Rams with three service aces along with seven kills and 10 digs. Junior Kelly Loder (Billerica, MA) also had seven kills and three solo blocks.

The win last night was the sixth of the year for the Rams, who have now matched their season total from the previous season and have seven games remaining on the schedule.

The Rams will be back in action on Tuesday evening as they host Newbury College in a non-conference matchup at 7:00pm.
