Two Meets Make Up Outdoor Track & Field’s Opening Weekend

BOSTON – Suffolk men's and women's outdoor track & field will split up for its first weekend of 2025 with Rams set to compete at the Tufts Snowflake Classic and the UMass Lowell Invitational.

UMASS LOWELL INVITATIONAL NOTES

  • Tim Barry will attempt to break the school record in the 400 and will also run the 800. 
  • Thomas NovyHayden GreenDeclan ShannonJacob Dubin and Connor Hayward will all run the 1500. 
  • Amalia DorionSydney FoggAmy Pattelena and Sofia Moukaddem will run the 1500 as well.  

TUFTS SNOWFLAKE CLASSIC FACTS

  • Tighe Hosman and Michael Makiej will attempt to break the school record in the 400 hurdles and high jump, respectively. 
  • Joshua Durand and Nathan Fernandes will run the 400. 
  • Nico Carrillo and Edward Abouzeid will throw javelin. 
  • Elijah Brown will make his collegiate debut in the hammer throw. 
  • Emma Withers will attempt to qualify for New Englands in the hammer throw. 
  • Devyn Battistoni will attempt to break her own school record in the pole vault. 
  • Amanda Walden will race the 100 and 200 with JJ Conteh and Hilma Ortega
  • Catherine Madden will attempt to break her school record in the 100 hurdles. 
  • Averie Denelle will attempt to break the school record in the high jump. 
  • Emily Concepcion will look to break the school record in the 800.  

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams will jet set to the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Virigina next weekend, April 4-5.
